ABOUT REIKI

Healing through Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words:

  • Rei  (meaning Universal Wisdom, Source or Divine)
  • Ki   (meaning Universal Life Force Energy)

The practice is based on the understanding that when a person's natural energy flow is disrupted, it can lead to physical, emotional and even spiritual imbalances.

Developed by Mikao Usui in the 1920s, the practice involves lightly placing the hands on or near the body to support the rebalancing of the person's energy.

Reiki, which is a concious energy in itself, works in alignment with body intelligence, the innate wisdom of the body to heal itself.

Every person’s experience with Reiki is quite unique, shaped by their physical state, emotions and energy at the time. No two sessions are also ever the same — even for the same person. Some may feel deeply relaxed, while others experience emotional release or subtle shifts that unfold over time.

Reiki does not impose; instead, it holds space for whatever needs to arise, to be acknowledged and to heal in its own time and way.

How a session unfolds

Receiving Reiki is refreshingly simple and completely non-invasive. You remain fully clothed and either stretch out on a treatment couch or sit upright in a chair. Guided by training and intuition, I rest my hands lightly on—or just above—specific points, letting the energy flow where it’s needed. Reiki is not a massage and there is no pressure or manipulation. It can be applied to the whole body or focused on particular areas, and it can even be sent remotely when an in-person session is not possible.

Your appointment begins with a brief check-in to explore what you would like support with. As the session unfolds, I’m guided to any blocks or imbalances in your system. Many people sink into deep relaxation; some notice warmth, coolness, gentle tingles or even flashes of colour behind closed eyes.

When the treatment ends, we will chat about what you experienced and I will answer any questions you might have.

There’s no need to analyse or interpret what happens during the session. Reiki works beyond the mind, gently supporting the body and energy field to return to balance. Each person’s experience is unique, and the effects often continue to unfold over the hours or days that follow.

Choosing your practitioner

Reiki is a gentle yet profound healing practice, and it’s important to receive it from someone who has been properly trained in its pure, traditional methods.

A qualified Reiki practitioner has received attunements from a Reiki Master Teacher, through a lineage passed directly from teacher to student. These attunements open the practitioner’s energy system, enabling them to channel Reiki effectively.

Once attuned, a practitioner can channel Reiki for self-healing and to support others. For many, it also becomes a path toward greater emotional balance, personal growth and spiritual connection.

When you work with someone who honours the integrity of the Reiki tradition, you can trust that you are held in a safe healing space.

I received my Reiki training at The Reiki Academy in London, a real centre of excellence dedicated to preserving the purity and depth of the Reiki tradition.

Under the guidance of experienced Reiki Masters Teachers, I was attuned and trained to practise the discipline with care, integrity and deep respect for its roots.

It's all about energy, frequency and vibration

At first glance, my profile might not scream “Reiki practitioner”. I’m an engineer with a background in robotics and artificial intelligence, and I spent the last 20 years as an entrepreneur and tech executive. Yet, discovering Reiki felt like coming back to something fundamental — something I had always known, just not in this form.

Over time, I’ve learned to notice the subtle layers that exist beneath what we see — in both people and in the systems we create. Nikola Tesla famously said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”, and I’ve found this to be profoundly true in both life and healing.

Reiki is one way this universal energy expresses itself — subtle yet powerful and deeply supportive. It meets you exactly where you are, guiding whatever wants to unfold, whether that is stillness, release or quiet insight. The experience is often grounding and meaningful, helping you return to a state of natural balance.

But let me be quite clear: I am not "the healer" — I simply hold space with care and presence, so that your soul can guide the healing in its own time and way.

Is Reiki safe if I’m on medication or recovering from surgery?

Yes. Reiki is completely non-invasive and safe to receive while taking medication, undergoing medical treatment or recovering from surgery. It doesn’t interfere with medical care and is often used to support the body’s healing process and ease stress or side effects.

What if I’m new to Reiki or energy work? Do I need to believe in it?

No prior experience or belief is needed. Reiki is gentle, safe and open to everyone. Many people come with curiosity or no expectations, and still experience deep relaxation, clarity, or emotional release.

What happens during a session, and is it in person or online?

Reiki can be experienced either in person or at a distance. Both are equally effective, as energy is not limited by space. In-person sessions take place in selected locations, which may vary during the year. Distance sessions are held via Google Meet or other online communication channels. In either format, you’ll remain fully clothed, lying on a couch or sitting comfortably. I place my hands lightly on or just above your body, and the session unfolds in a quiet, calm space with no physical manipulation.

Will I feel anything during the session?

Everyone experiences Reiki in their own way. You might feel warmth, gentle tingling or a deep sense of stillness and relaxation. Some people experience emotional release, while others simply feel lighter or more grounded after the session. There’s no right or wrong way to feel — your body will respond in the way that’s best for you.

How do I book a session?

Please send a message through the website’s booking form. I’ll reply with available dates and times, and we’ll find the option that suits you best. Once you choose your preferred slot, I’ll send you a confirmation email with all the session details.

How do I pay for my session?

Payment is made securely online through PayPal at the time of booking. You don’t need a PayPal account — you can pay using any major credit or debit card. If you need help with the payment process, feel free to reach out.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You can reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours in advance by sending me a message through the website or replying to your confirmation email. Full refunds are offered for timely cancellations. Missed sessions or late cancellations are non-refundable.

How should I prepare, and how will I feel afterwards?

There’s nothing special you need to do to prepare for a session. Just wear comfortable clothes and allow yourself to arrive in a relaxed state if possible. Afterwards, many people feel calm, clear or gently energised. It’s a good idea to drink water and give yourself time to rest or reflect if needed.
